About Christina

I grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California, where I spent my childhood discovering the secrets of a redwood forest, climbing trees, and catching tadpoles. Since leaving the forest for Westmont College in Santa Barbara (English lit degree), I've been, among other things, a model, a radio personality, an office manager, and an expert with packing tape.

Ian and I met when we were both living in Santa Barbara. My grandfather has said that making sure we met was "the best thing he ever did." I tend to agree with him.

We left Santa Barbara and moved into a castle on the Rhein in Germany at the turn of the millenium. We've also lived in San Francisco during the height of the dot-com madness, done time in Los Angeles with the film industry, and experimented with life on Kauai.

I've been a freelance web designer for more than 10 years. I've run my own boutique design shop, providing full service web design and implementation for artists and soloprenuers.

We came home to Seattle in 2004. Caitlyn was born shortly after. It's sometimes a little weird to realize we aren't moving every couple of years any more. We've put down roots, complete with a backyard garden and an opinionated cat.

I wear a lot of hats. I'm a full-time mother, a partner, a business-owner, a quilter, a household admin, a baker, a seamstress, a gardener, a volunteer, a reader, an occasional thinker, a fledgling artist.

My latest adventures are almost always in the Journal. Stop on by sometime and say "Hi."
